Privacy policy
The short version: we collect no personal data, use no tracking cookies and sell nothing to anyone. Below is the long version with everything that happens when you open the page.
Who is the data controller
nordpoolprices.com is run by a private individual in Latvia. Contact details are on the contact page.
What we do not do
- No user accounts, registration or forms asking for a name or e-mail.
- No cookies, and no advertising or tracking scripts.
- No data is passed to third parties for marketing purposes.
What is stored in your browser
Your chosen language, unit, VAT setting and the last country you opened are saved in the browser’s local storage (localStorage) so that the page opens the same way next time. This data never leaves your device; it can be deleted by clearing your browser data.
Visit statistics
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics – statistics without cookies and without identifying users. We see aggregate numbers: how many visits, from which countries, on which devices, which pages. Tracking an individual person is not possible. The statistics script is loaded from Cloudflare.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). Like any server, Cloudflare briefly processes technical data – IP address, browser type, requested address – to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. Cloudflare’s privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Requests to data sources
Your browser receives prices and flows from the nordpoolprices.com server, which obtains them from the sources (spot-hinta.fi, SMARD, Statnett) and caches them briefly. The sources do not see your IP address. Fonts, icons and map data are also loaded from nordpoolprices.com itself – the page contacts no other domain except Cloudflare’s statistics.
Advertising in the future
If advertisements ever appear on the site, this policy will say so, and where EU rules require it, consent will be asked before advertising cookies are used. At present there are no advertisements.
Your rights
Since we store no personal data, a request for deletion or access usually has nothing to delete or hand over. If you nevertheless have questions about data processing, write to us and we will answer; a complaint can also be lodged with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (dvi.gov.lv) or your local data protection authority.
Changes
The policy may change if the site changes. The current version is always at this address; the date is at the top of the page.
