About this site
nordpoolprices.com is an independent, free website that shows the day-ahead electricity exchange prices of every Nord Pool market country on one map – today and tomorrow, in 15-minute periods, with or without VAT – together with the current cross-border electricity flows.
Who it is for
Anyone on an exchange-price electricity contract, or anyone who simply wants to understand what is going on in the European power market: when to run the washing machine, why Estonia is dearer than Finland tonight, which way the electricity is flowing. The site is available in 14 languages and adapts to your browser’s language and time zone.
Data sources
- Nordic and Baltic prices – spot-hinta.fi (Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Norway, Denmark).
- Central European prices – SMARD, the platform of the German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur), data licensed CC BY 4.0 (Germany–Luxembourg, Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Poland).
- Cross-border flows – open data of the Norwegian transmission system operator Statnett.
- VAT rates – publicly available information on each country’s rate for household electricity; the rate can be edited on the map.
At their origin the prices come from the single European day-ahead auction run by Nord Pool and other market operators. Data is shown as it is in the sources; delays or errors in the sources appear here too.

The site is not affiliated with Nord Pool AS and does not represent it. “Nord Pool” is a trademark of Nord Pool AS and is used here only to name the market whose prices are shown. The information is for general orientation; it is not financial or trading advice, and before decisions that involve money, check the figures with your retailer or at the original source.
How the site works
The site is static and runs in your browser: prices are refreshed every 15 minutes and flows every two minutes while the page is visible; the data comes through the site’s own server, which caches it briefly so that the sources are not loaded unnecessarily. There is no registration, no cookies and no tracking; your choice of language, unit and VAT is stored only in your browser. Details in the privacy policy.
The data can also be used in other programs and AI tools – the endpoints are described in llms.txt.
